The Dark side of Light
Captured on January 22, 2026, The Dark Side of Light explores the space where illumination fades into shadow and where presence exists without direct visibility.
The Moon’s crescent glows with sharp clarity, its surface shaped by sunlight. Beyond it, the rest of the lunar body emerges subtly through Earthshine light reflected from our own planet, revealing what would otherwise remain unseen. This natural phenomenon reminds us that darkness is not the absence of light, but its quieter expression.
Nothing in this image is artificial or constructed. The full Moon was always there only gently revealed through patience, timing, and restraint.
A contemplative piece for those drawn to balance, depth, and the unseen forces that shape what we observe.
